Carol is a Senior Director with 13+ years of experience in providing advisory services to companies in various industries in Canada and the United States. She has extensive knowledge and practical experience in US GAAP and IFRS.
Her experience includes supporting companies in their acquisitions – including performing purchase price allocation and opening balance sheet analysis. She has managed teams to support hypergrowth companies in reviewing their significant processes and supported them in their SOX implementation and audit readiness programs.
Additionally, she has led several GAAP conversion efforts – representative companies include a multi-national technology solutions company where successful conversion diagnostics was ensured by performing detail analysis identifying significant company specific risks. Carol has also managed various accounting change programs – most recently, she assisted a large telecommunications company with the development of a solution to determine the impact of the revenue standards (ASC 606), including financial statement quantifications and related disclosures, analysis of various key performance indicators, and revising and updating management reporting to adhere to the new requirements. Her other experiences includes assisting with general ledger and chart of account set up, and reconciliation efforts.
Before joining Accordion, Carol was a senior manager in EY’s Financial Accounting Advisory Services where she advised clients on complex accounting transactions, due diligence support, financial reporting processes and optimization, accounting change, and GAAP conversions. She started her career in Vancouver, BC, Canada and moved between Canada and the United States a few times before settling in Seattle, Washington.
Carol is a graduate of Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada and is a CPA (Washington) and CPA, CA (Canada).
