We establish a cross-practice team across Strategic FP&A, Operational & Technical Accounting, and Data & Analytics and, in partnership with your FP&A and Data teams, begin working towards solutions to your identified pain points. We:
- Interview process owners and key stakeholders, evaluate systems and models, and review existing reporting deliverables to gain understanding of challenges and pain points affecting the FP&A, Accounting, and Data/BI capacity.
- Assess the existing FP&A and Data functions and provide future-state recommendations, including in-depth insights and actionable initiatives spanning organization & people, operational processes, and systems and data.
- Develop a detailed bottom-up, multi-year, 3-statement LRP forecast, providing division-level insights and identifying critical drivers; partner with business leaders to quantify and populate “business-as-usual” assumptions within the model, as a starting point for the planning process
- Review key company-wide strategic initiatives and develop driver-based business cases for inclusion in the LRP
- Diagnose reporting obstacles within financial reporting, customer types, and industry segments, and provide strategic solutions within each area
- Execute “quick wins” in streamlining reporting & data automation, first steps in creating self-service analytics program
- Create strategic KPI reporting content, assign ownership, establish status tracking, and devise a timeline with a comprehensive workplan to ensure effective implementation

The LRP delivered is central to an executive committee offsite and BOD meeting to facilitate conversation around prioritization of strategic initiatives and investment capital availability and ROI. Going forward, both leadership and sponsor teams are expecting to leverage the model to make transformative business decisions.
In the near term, the reporting “quick wins” delivered provides the FP&A team the additional bandwidth to be an effective business partner internally.
