Bill Anderson is a Senior Director with nearly 4 decades of experience in the finance function stemming from roles in the Big 4 and both public and privately held companies, across a broad range of industries including Consumer Products, Discrete and Process Manufacturing, Retail, and Media/Entertainment. He has worked with his clients to lead them through finance transformation, finance strategy, financial close acceleration, performance reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
While at Accordion Bill has worked with the senior management of private equity portfolio companies to drive engagements that address manufacturing cost visibility and control improvements, governance policies and processes, assessment of technological capabilities, and design and implementations of new financial reporting and management performance reporting process models and supporting infrastructure.
Prior to joining Accordion, Bill was a Partner at KPMG where he advised clients in the development of finance strategies and business alignment, legal entity rationalization, finance process improvement, implementation of accounting change, and financial systems design and implementation.
Bill was formerly Vice President of Financial Control at Bankers Trust, Vice President of Financial Systems and Management Reporting at Salomon Brothers, and Vice President of Corporate Development at First Boston Corporation. Prior to that, he was Corporate Controller of a large commercial leasing corporation, Wheels Inc., and was Controller of a machinery manufacturing subsidiary of FMC Corporation.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
