Trevor Barrington

Trevor is an Accounting Vice President with nearly a decade of experience with small to mid-size businesses in the construction, maintenance, and accounting software consulting industries. He specializes in organization, internal control and process improvement.

Before joining Accordion, Trevor spent about one year in accounting software consulting, then transitioned to staff accounting roles for the past five years. Trevor has been a key member of accounting departments; not only efficiently executing his roles in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and procurement, but also making positive changes to existing processes and enhancing management’s financial visibility.

In 2020, Trevor led the implementation of the web-based purchasing application, Spendwise, for his previous company, Barone Steel Fabricators. Through this implementation, he was able to digitize the company’s accounts payable process that was once entirely paper-based. This improved the company’s financial reporting capabilities, controls and record keeping procedure.

Trevor developed his knowledge and passion for accounting information systems during his experience with AKA Enterprise Solutions (now HSO), a Microsoft Dynamics partner. As an Associate Consultant, he was trained extensively on Microsoft’s accounting system, Dynamics 365 for Operations, and helped clients leverage their software to best meet their business needs.

Trevor graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Accounting & Marketing, and is expected to complete an M.S. in accountancy from Baruch College in the fall of 2022. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in Dynamics AX7 Financials, and certified in Microsoft Excel.
