Sid is a Director with a decade of experience in strategic finance, investment banking and equity research. He has deep financial modeling, advisory, budgeting and cash flow forecasting expertise within the FP&A domain.
At Accordion, Sid has developed and implemented an end-to-end, consolidated budgeting and forecasting tool (leveraging MS Power Query) for a ~$1.2B national physical therapy provider, led a reporting enhancement project for a niche biopharmaceutical manufacturing business, worked on a complex, bottom-up budgeting engagement for a CPM software roll-up, and delivered a robust project-based revenue forecasting model for a managed facility services provider.
Before joining Accordion, Sid spent 4 years in equity research – primarily covering the consumer retail and homebuilding sectors. His primary responsibilities included launching and maintaining sell-side research coverage on publicly traded U.S. homebuilders for a bulge bracket investment bank, and publishing unique, data-driven, and actionable investment recommendations on leading consumer and retail companies.
Prior to that, and as part of the debt capital markets team at India’s largest bank, Sid led multiple capital raising transactions where he focused on analyzing financial statements, forecasting the debt servicing ability of various corporations, term sheet negotiation, and transaction execution – including working on a confidential bank note paper mill financing project sponsored by the Indian government.
Sid began his career for a Private Equity backed ed-tech company in New York City where he wore multiple hats. There, he used his SQL skills to develop detailed, customizable KPI dashboards for the CEO, CFO, and PE sponsors – translating and mapping end user feature requests into requirements for the software development team and managing and enhancing operational process workflows (enrollment, billing, etc.).
Sid earned his M.B.A. with a specialization in Finance at NYU Stern School of Business. He also holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Engineering undergraduate degree with a concentration in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai. He is a CFA charterholder.
