Rhys Gordon

Rhys is a Vice President with nearly two decades of business improvement, accounting, and advisory experience. His expertise ranges across large national and multinational companies, focusing primarily on business and operational improvements, and driving synergies and operational excellence.

At Accordion, Rhys works with private equity backed companies to improve processes impacting working capital improvement and finance operations. In addition, he works with clients to implement best practices for their order to cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report processes. Prior to Accordion, Rhys spent over 15 years working in senior corporate finance roles in various industries, and advisory roles at a Big Four firm. He has led and executed functions responsible for cost reduction, business improvements, cash management, and technology & data-based initiatives.

Rhys has held controllership, systems and technology, and other various accounting and finance related roles spanning a multitude of industries including financial services, power, utilities, industrials, media, and entertainment. His responsibilities helped bolster global operations while simultaneously acting as a trusted resource to the C-Suite – sponsoring business process improvement, process reengineering, cost optimization, and financial statement close process initiatives.

His efforts were significant in the designing and implementation of offshore operations of streamlined operations and processes across the US, Europe, and Asia. Rhys’s uniform and streamlined operational strategies have yielded meaningful, sustainable, and scalable outcomes that are transferrable regardless of industry, company sizing, revenues, or ownership.

Rhys graduated from Kean University with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance and holds an M.B.A. from Northeastern University in operations and supply chain management.
