Matt is a Vice President with more than 15 years of finance experience across corporate finance, capital markets, valuation, accounting and auditing, obtained while working with companies from a broad range of stages, sectors and geographies.

Before joining Accordion, Matt was a Director at Deutsche Bank-Numis, where he worked with high-growth private equity-backed businesses across Europe and globally. Deploying a broad finance skill-set, he helped scaling companies accelerate growth by securing essential capital. Matt worked across several sectors including, Technology (software & hardware), Consumer, Industrials and recently had a heightened focus on Cleantech and the Energy Transition.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, Matt was an Equity Analyst at Barclays, where he helped build the firm’s Airline and Transportation team, initiating on over 15 large and mid-cap companies across North America and Latin America and advising investors on multiple IPOs. Starting in New York, he subsequently moved to London to expand the team’s global presence. Matt’s tenure at Barclays began on the Global Industrial Team, where he advised and executed over $15bn in equity, debt, M&A and other strategic transactions for public and private companies.

Earlier in his career, Matt honed his valuation skills at Stout Risius Ross, performing technical private company and intellectual property valuations related to financial reporting, M&A, transfer pricing and taxation. He also gained corporate finance experience at United Airlines, performing financial and operational audits domestically and globally in markets including Russia, China and Germany and led key integration projects for United’s merger with Continental Airlines. Matt started his career in public accounting at KPMG in audit where he worked across sectors but most notably on the carve-out of Motorola’s Mobility Division when it was sold to Google.

Matt holds an M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduated with honors with an MS and BA in Accounting from Michigan State University, was registered as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois and previously held FINRA series 7, 79, 63, 86, 87 licenses.
