Matt is an Associate with nearly four years of experience in capital markets and investment banking.
Prior to joining Accordion, Matt worked at SMBC Nikko as a member of the Debt Capital Markets team, where he focused on underwriting bond issuances for investment grade corporate clients across core global markets. Matt started his career as a corporate and investment banking analyst at Regions Securities, where he originated and structured a variety of capital markets transactions for middle market healthcare companies.
Specifically, Matt performed detailed financial analysis for clients and prospects by building integrated financial models to assess optimal pro forma capital structures, free cash flow generation, and debt servicing capabilities through various financing structures.
Matt’s transactional experience includes financings across the entire capital structure for leveraged buyouts, strategic acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, and refinancings for public and sponsor-backed companies primarily in the healthcare and real estate sectors.
Matt graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in Political Science, with certificates in Markets & Management and Philosophy, Politics & Economics.
