Larry Steenvoorden is a Director with more than two decades of experience spanning a variety of sectors including Energy, Healthcare, and Manufacturing in both public and private companies. His roles have involved leading international finance teams, divisional & regional controllership and treasury functions to senior management in a private equity portfolio company.
Representative Accordion engagements span a variety of sectors, including Software, Business Services, and Telecom. Larry has led engagements for portfolio companies of Madison Dearborn Partners and Hellman & Friedman on business improvement, reporting, and operational excellence.
Before joining Accordion, Larry was Chief Accounting Officer with Onyx Renewable Partners, LP, a Blackstone Private Equity Portfolio Company focused in the renewable energy space. His senior leadership responsibilities included functions such as strategic planning, M&A, treasury, financial modeling, accounting infrastructure & polices, and completing first-time audits.
Prior to his private equity experience, he held various roles with Siemens including Head of Business Planning & Controlling for a multi-billion division, North American Controller, Treasurer and Director of External Reporting and working abroad at their headquarters in Germany. While at Siemens, he successfully implemented many initiatives including merger integrations, finance transformation projects, operational best practices, and execution of performance improvement activities.
Larry started his career with Big4 public accounting firm Ernst & Young in the Assurance Services practice where he was involved with audits in various industries and M&A transactions.
Larry has an MBA in Finance from Rider University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
