Kristen Contreras

Kristen is a Vice President with more than two decades of experience in corporate financial reporting and business process improvement across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, and manufacturing.

Before joining Accordion, Kristen performed consulting engagements for Fortune 100 companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, including Google and McKesson, for Resources Global Professionals (RGP, formerly of Deloitte). Kristen’s clients relied on her ability to transform accounting processes and integrate technology to optimize the financial reporting function.

Prior to RGP, Kristen was a Corporate Controller for Bioness, Inc., a private medical device manufacturer in the Los Angeles area. With Bioness, Kristen managed a consistent global accounting policy in accordance with U.S. GAAP for both domestic operations and international subsidiaries. She also co-managed the development and implementation of a new corporate ERP system.

Kristen earned her CPA with the Los Angeles office of J.H. Cohn, LLP, now part of CohnReznick, a national public accounting firm. There she performed both internal and external audits and also earned a CISA certification for her work as an IT auditor.  This is where she gained a passionate interest in the intersection of finance and technology.
