Kevin is a Managing Director with nearly three decades of finance and accounting experience in both industry and professional services roles. The companies he has worked at and the clients he has served range from pre-revenue startups to multi-billion dollar businesses both privately and publicly owned.

During his years of consulting experience, largely in the mergers and acquisitions space, Kevin worked on well over 500 transactions, giving him unique access to both buyers and sellers in arguably the most pivotal point of their business lifecycle and history. This experience allowed Kevin to learn and understand how businesses can improve and optimize their performance to increase their value in the marketplace, while also understanding how outside investors interpret and view the value of the businesses they are seeking to partner with or acquire. The majority of the projects Kevin worked on involved private equity clients, either buying or selling underlying businesses. Outside of M&A work, Kevin led various accounts across all service lines of the firm, allowing him to understand the needs of his clients well outside of the finance and accounting realm. Kevin was responsible for leading accounts and providing true value to them across areas such as supply chain, strategy, technology, liquidity and cost management, tax, and more.

Prior to Kevin’s work in consulting, he had a number of experiences at companies in industry. A handful of these companies were early-stage startups, where Kevin had the lead finance / accounting role, but also played other roles in the business to help effectuate efficiency and growth. From creating the opening balance sheet journal entry at the start of one company’s inception, to closing down the business after another company did not receive series A funding, to assisting with the acquisition of one of my startups by Cisco Systems, these experiences were invaluable lessons across the various stages of a company’s trajectory. At a young age, Kevin was able to see the innerworkings of how venture capital investors operate, how entrepreneurs ideate and grow, and how important balancing these dynamics is to drive value.

Kevin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Masters in Accounting.

  • Likes long bike rides (2-3 hours) in the sweltering Texas heat, as long as he has a full water backpack and good tunes to listen to
