Kerri Chiu is a Vice President, focused on finance function performance improvement and experienced in guiding CFO organizations through complex transformation initiatives. Since joining Accordion, Kerri has led engagements for portfolio companies of PE sponsors including The Carlyle Group, Altaris Capital Partners, H.I.G. Capital, and HGGC.
Kerri has worked on a variety of engagements to drive value creation for her clients. Finance and operational engagements include: Process Improvement & Implementation to improve profitability, efficiency, and accuracy of key business processes; Root Cause Analysis to increase visibility into the business, and correct and improve financial data flow; Finance/Accounting Assessment and Design to identify and execute on opportunities for scalability, improved analytics and overall improvement of Finance functions. Carve-out engagements include: Carve-out Planning & Execution to successfully separate and stand up “greenfield” operations, including overall transition management and Finance & Accounting standup; and Pre-Close Carve-out Assessment including standalone analysis of Finance & Accounting and G&A functional areas, review of one-time costs and TSA review.
Prior to joining Accordion, Kerri was a consultant in Ernst & Young’s Performance Improvement Finance Management practice based in San Francisco, where she conducted Finance function assessments and supported CFO organizations through transformation, including during mergers.
Kerri graduated with High Honors from University of California, Santa Barbara with degrees in Economics and English. She remains an active alumna of the University of California system, reviewing scholarship applications for students in study abroad programs.
