Kay is an Associate with nearly a decade of blended accounting, finance, and operations experience, spanning both traditional sectors and VC-backed startups. She specializes in enhancing accounting and operationally adjacent functions, including payroll, benefits administration, and deal desking.
Kay began her career at First Cambridge Realty Corporation as a receptionist, and gained exposure to accounts payable and receivable, customer and vendor relations, and treasury operations. As a Billing Specialist at Morrison Mahoney, she streamlined e-bill submission and improved client invoicing and appeal procedures. At MG+M The Law Firm, she further refined billing compliance efforts and standardized invoice review procedures to optimize billing realization rates for attorneys.
As the Staff Accountant at MG+M (where she reported to a fellow Accordion colleague!), Kay managed full-cycle accounting, and later transitioned to the tech industry. As the second finance hire at Hi Marley, she oversaw the month-end close, implemented NetSuite, and restated historical financials. Her role included FP&A responsibilities such as ARR forecasting, cash flow management, scenario planning, and performance reporting for executive leadership. She helped coordinate the logistics of moving the company to a new office, and even built desks and chairs!
As a Finance & Accounting Manager for Clearbit by Hubspot and Alyce by Sendoso, Kay has helped her teams take accounting operations in-house, modernize accounting systems and integrations, implement close procedures, and reduce month end close times. She has greatly enjoyed leading the deployment of T&E tools like Ramp, overseeing financial statement and SALT audits, and driving sell-side due diligence.
Kay holds a master’s degree in Accounting from Merrimack College and is actively pursuing her CPA.
