John Jimenez is an Associate with nearly four years of experience, spanning a variety of sectors including telecommunications, pharmaceutical, and financial services.
At Accordion, John has worked closely with the controller of a technology company to help support the accounting team through its financial audit. He has prepared detailed reconciliation and evaluated internal controls. John has also worked with an animal health company’s management on supporting a company-wide transformation to streamline finance processes and forecast the EBITDA impact of these business improvements on the business units.
Prior to joining Accordion, John worked for FTI Consulting in its Forensic & Litigation Consulting practice. As a Senior Consultant, he was involved in various engagements – including fact-finding and examinations into matters involving alleged fraud, risk assessments of internal controls, walkthroughs of business processes, and assisting companies with financial restatements.
John worked with a fitness company to convert their accounting from cash-basis to accrual-basis in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Throughout the engagement, he prepared financial statements and wrote accounting policies for the company.
During his time at FTI, John worked on cases in the US, Latin America, and Europe, where he gained experience in a variety of industries, such as telecommunications, financial services, and pharmaceutical.
John received his Master of Accountancy from Villanova University, as well as his Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Accounting from University of Pennsylvania. John is a CPA in the state of Virginia.
