Hyung Lee is an Associate in Accordion’s Operational & Technical Accounting practice with experience across audit readiness, technical accounting, financial reporting, and controllership support. He works with clients on the preparation of financial statements and footnotes, accounting policy development, technical accounting analyses, and finance-process support designed to improve reporting quality and close effectiveness.
His experience includes supporting audit readiness and year-end reporting processes, drafting technical accounting memoranda across a range of topics, and helping develop consolidation and cash flow reporting models to strengthen finance function capabilities. His technical accounting experience includes work related to ASC 842 and ASC 606, among other reporting matters, and he has supported clients in translating those requirements into practical accounting documentation and reporting support. He has also contributed to broader controllership initiatives involving close acceleration, interim support, process documentation, and account analyses, with exposure to both domestic and international reporting considerations.
Prior to joining Accordion, Hyung spent two years in public accounting, where he audited public and private companies across a range of industries. He was promoted to Senior Associate at KPMG in 2022.
Hyung holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is a Certified Public Accountant.
