Hemant is a Director with nearly two decades of corporate treasury experience, spanning the financial services, automotive, telecom, digital content, and information technology industries.
Prior to Accordion, Hemant led the treasury transformation for a private equity backed portfolio company following a leveraged buyout transaction. As VP & Treasurer at Clarivate Analytics, Hemant led and managed Treasury and Investor Relations functions. He also executed successive tuck-in acquisitions, divestitures of non-core assets, and debt refinancing transactions. Hemant was also central in establishing cash flow forecasting, currency & interest-rate hedging, intercompany settlements, and covenant compliance & reporting cadence for the standalone business through and post-separation from Thomson Reuters.
Hemant started his career as an engineer in the automotive industry and transitioned as an analyst within the Treasury Function at Ford Motor Company. Here, he raised crucial liquidity through securitization operations, and he gained extensive financial modeling and transactions experience. Hemant subsequently joined the New York based treasurers’ office at General Motors, where he helped establish a global consolidated cashflow forecast process and was a member of the IPO deal team post-emergence from 363 restructuring.
Hemant graduated from the University of Mumbai with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and received his M.B.A. in Finance & Financial Engineering from the University of Michigan.
