Emily is a Vice President with over four years of experience in audit, risk assessment, and process improvement with both public and privately held clients.
With Accordion, Emily has partnered with key stakeholders to support clients’ operational and technical accounting needs. Emily has performed process assessments, audit readiness & financial statement preparation, and assisted in purchase accounting support.
Most recently at Accordion, Emily supported a PE backed portfolio company with its operational accounting needs, improvement efforts, and audit. Emily was able to create multiple process improvements that would save hours of time during the month end closing procedures and helped perform F&A assessments and create new controls. Emily also acted as an accounting team leader, trained the new accountants, and helped the client with audit readiness support.
Before joining Accordion, Emily worked as a Senior Associate in the audit practice at KPMG. She has experience conducting and performing audits and for both publicly traded and privately held companies in a variety of industries. In addition, Emily has spent a significant amount of time on IPO readiness work, through serving as a key player in the completion of the S-1 document, substantive testing procedures, and more.
Emily is a graduate from The Pennsylvania State University, Smeal College of Business where she received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
