Dillon is a Vice President with nearly six years of experience in public accounting and public company external reporting. His experience in public accounting primarily includes external audit, working with multiple public and private companies. Further, his experience in external reporting came solely through a public company background in accordance with the SEC and PCAOB.
With Accordion, Dillon works within the Operational & Technical Accounting practice, where he works with clients to create value on a wide range of transactions, including Accounting Policies & Procedures, ERP/Financial System Execution, Financial Statement Close Process, Process & Controls Implementation, Technical Accounting, Finance/Accounting Assessment & Design, and Finance & Accounting Organization Standup resulting from a Carve out or Merger transaction.
Dillon started his career in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP where he was responsible for performing and reviewing audit procedures, drafting financial statements, and reviewing financial transactions. Further, Dillon was responsible for helping clients implement new accounting standards, for example ASC 606 and ASC 842. He spent several years with Deloitte & Touche LLP and worked on various clients within the Aerospace & Defense, Chemical Manufacturing and Telecommunications, Technology & Media industries.
Dillon then transitioned his career from Deloitte & Touche LLP to a public company within the Chemical Manufacturing space. There, he was mainly responsible for the preparation and review of all company filings with the SEC including Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, and all other registration filings with the SEC. Further, he was responsible for the supervision of the company’s Internal Control Framework in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Lastly, Dillon was responsible for the performance of technical accounting research related to any complex transactions or implementation of new accounting pronouncements from FASB or the SEC.
Dillon graduated with honors from Muhlenberg College with a B.A. in Accounting and Business and has an active CPA license.
