Ben Lehrer

Ben Lehrer is a Director on the Accordion Team. Representative Accordion engagements include private equity portfolio companies for Cerberus Capital Management, TH Lee, Symphony Technology Group, and Insight Venture Partners.

Mandates include project management and execution leadership for KPI implementation, stakeholder reporting processes, budgeting and forecasting process improvement, and liquidity management. Across engagements, he works hand-in-hand with senior management, finance/accounting teams and private equity operations teams.

Ben is the Founder of First Water Advisors, an advisory firm providing finance function transformation and capital solutions to small businesses. Ben’s institutional background includes roles in private equity, investment banking, and commercial finance. He has diverse transaction experience including buyouts, debt financings, growth capital investments, restructurings, mergers, and joint ventures.

Previously, Ben spent time at CapitalSource Finance, a publicly-traded commercial finance company, where he served as an Investment Officer for the Secondary Loan Purchasing and Special Opportunities Lending businesses. Ben was also a member of the Private Equity Group at Fortress Investment Group, a publicly-traded alternative investment manager, focusing on equity investments, portfolio company operations, restructurings, and capital raising initiatives. He began his career in the Fixed Income Capital Markets Division of Citigroup, structuring and executing asset-backed and securitization transactions with a focus on aviation and other transportation assets.

Ben earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with concentrations in Finance and Accounting. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a holder the FINRA Series 79 and 63 securities licenses.
