Resource Management Director

Accordion is comprised of a dedicated professionals providing strategic advice to support PE backed portfolio companies on a wide range of transactions and events.  We are doers and problem solvers – making sense of complexity and bolstering sponsors’ value creation thesis’s.

The Resource Management Director is responsible for fully leveraging the firms diverse talent pool, ultimately driving our talent strategy.  You will own the delivery of all talent, and advise leadership on how to optimize their talent pool to best support their strategy, operations and growth plans.

What You’ll Do:

  • Advise practice leaders on operational decision-making related to talent capacity
  • Maintain knowledge of cross-practice areas where similar offerings and skillsets may be aligned, including current supply and demand status
  • Maintain deep understanding of full talent landscape within each practice line by analyzing pipeline opportunities, understanding talent capacity, and gathering key information leaders
  • Identify talent related risk and consult with leadership and teams to determine appropriate course of action
  • Analyze broad sets of deployment data to identify meaningful trends, root causes, or opportunities for operational improvement
  • Manage a broad scope of responsibilities by prioritizing work, leveraging team members, and managing stakeholder expectations effectively
  • Assist in growing the firm by identifying and driving business development activities

Ideally, You Are:

  • Excited to be part of a growing team, with a focus on driving future growth
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client service
  • Experienced in advising leaders on talent strategies
  • Knowledgeable about the relationship between Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, particularly within the office of the CFO
  • Willing to get your hands dirty in the details of a project while simultaneously seeing the whole picture
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization
  • Able to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions, and raise issues to senior team members when necessary
  • A team player, able to work with team members across all levels
  • Someone who enjoys mentoring others and doing meaningful work
  • A leader of others; you lead by example

Ideally, You Have:

  • Over 3 years of relevant professional experience working in a resource management role, with a strong preference for client service experience in a professional services organization
  • Experience delivering strong value in a role with an unstructured working environment
  • Strong core professional competencies, i.e. attention to detail, responsiveness, follow through and flexibility
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong client service mindset
