Responsibilities

Accordion Partners, LLC seeks Vice President, Strategic Finance in New York, New York:

Work with a diverse set of colleagues with backgrounds in Private Equity, Investment Banking, FP&A, Big 4 and Financial Controllers, to identify and rectify issues across a broad range of scenarios. Specific duties include:

  • Provide leadership support on client engagements including managing work streams to agreed timelines, and performing quality control of client deliverables and leading the presentation of deliverables;
  • Develop financial and analytic models to drive operational and transactional insights;
  • Conduct financial and business due diligence to assist with various investment and growth decisions;
  • Perform detailed analysis and synthesize actionable insights from data sets and unstructured information sources;
  • Develop and deliver reports and presentations that enhance key stakeholders’ understanding of business trends and drivers;
  • Lead consultant teach-ins and other training exercises; and
  • Participate in the performance review process for engagement teams. 

Minimum Requirements:

A Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, or Economics, or a related quantitative field, and 2 years of private equity, investment banking or financial consulting experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, or Economics, or a related quantitative field, and 5 years of post-baccalaureate private equity, investment banking or financial consulting experience.

Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:

  • 2 years of experience in corporate finance, including designing quantitative–driven modeling, and performing quantitative analytics and financial analysis;
  • 2 years of experience utilizing corporate valuation methodologies;
  • 2 years of experience performing in-depth industry research and conducting due diligence of industry and companies;
  • 2 years of experience preparing financial advice and revenue models for companies valued at $50 million or more;
  • 2 years of experience preparing and delivering financial strategies and alternatives; and,
  • 2 years of experience drafting financial presentations and presenting to senior internal and client audiences.

Travel required up to 75% of time to various unspecified client locations within the U.S.

Worksite: 1 Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, NY 10017. Position is eligible for telecommuting.

Salary range: $162,000 to $185,000 per year. Full-time.
