Data & Analytics

Accordion's Data & Analytics (D&A) team offers cutting-edge, intelligent solutions to a global clientele, leveraging a blend of domain knowledge, sophisticated technology tools, and deep analytics capabilities to tackle complex business challenges.

We partner with Private Equity clients and their Portfolio Companies across diverse sectors, including Retail, CPG, Healthcare, Media & Entertainment, Technology, and Logistics.

We deliver data and analytical solutions designed to streamline reporting capabilities and enhance business insights across vast and complex data sets ranging from Sales, Operations, Marketing, Pricing, Customer Strategies, and more.

This role can be based in any of our US office locations and is a hybrid role. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location, with the flexibility to work remotely 2-3 days a week, blending the best of both worlds for efficiency and collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

The Data and Analytics Vice President at Accordion plays a crucial role with our clients in steering an organization's analytics strategy, driving data-driven decision-making, and leading analytics projects from conceptualization to implementation. Primary responsibilities include:

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

  • Engage with senior stakeholders and clients to understand their business challenges, requirements, and objectives.
  • Provide advice on how analytics can drive value and competitive advantage, crafting tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and identifying opportunities for further engagement.

Solution Design & Project Delivery:

  • Develop and implement reporting models, dashboards and KPIs that support business insights and strategic decision making.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics models to support the problem statement. Capability to leverage techniques in statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling is an advantage.
  • Lead the analysis of complex data sets to uncover new insights.
  • Regularly engage in peer level discussions with the C-Suite / C-1 Suite of client organizations, and partner with them as a trusted analytics advisor.

Project Management and Execution:

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of analytics projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-practice teams, and India D&A team leadership to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Exercise Accordion project management disciplines and responsibilities on all project work

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure rigorous data governance and compliance with relevant data protection and privacy laws.
  • Ensure the analytics function operates efficiently, with robust processes for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Continuously improve the quality and accessibility of data and analytical outputs across the organization and share within our Knowledge Management repositories.
  • Act as a thought leader in analytics, staying abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, teaming, people development, innovation and continuous improvement.

 Ideally, You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer Science, engineering, Finance, or Information Technology
  • Master’s degree will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of 4+ years relevant work experience with minimum 2+ years’ experience in client facing/professional services environment
  • Strong hard skills on analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Excel is a plus
  • Strong leadership & proactive communication to coordinate with the project team and other internal stakeholders
  • Ability to share complex thoughts and tailor written and verbal communication based on the context
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Able to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions, and raise issues to senior team members when necessary
  • Comfortable managing projects with multiple complex workstreams while also focused on your single workstream (you are managing and doing).

  • Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization
  • Knowledgeable about the relationship between Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies

  • Willing to get your hands dirty in the details of a project while simultaneously seeing the whole picture
  • Willing to travel according to client needs

Salary: $130,000 - $190,000 + benefits + bonus

Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.
