Responsibilities

Accordion Partners, LLC seeks Senior Director, Transaction Execution Services (“TES”) in New York, New York.

Lead TES teams to manage multiple clients in complex Mergers & Acquisitions Financial Consulting matters and business processes. Responsible for growing the company by identifying and driving financial business development activities and internal initiatives. Duties include:

  1. Lead TES teams of professionals to manage multiple clients in complex financial accounting matters and business processes;
  2. Lead the IMO/SMO, and/or Finance workstream, including development of functional integration and carve-out plans and execution activities, with heavy focus on cross-functional interdependencies, including: Preparing financial statements, pro forma financial statements, and financial restatements typically in connection with acquisitions, carve-outs, restatements and proposed sale transactions; Establishing or integrating financial and business processes; and, Working closely with clients in the preparation and issuance of written finance and accounting policies and procedures;
  3. Conduct reporting process improvement reviews to increase financial reporting accuracy;
  4. Assist companies preparing for a sale to strategic and financial buyers by working closely with third parties constituents including board members, C-level executives, investment bankers, QoE providers and others to provide overall project and team management leadership, including Data Room population, preparation of supporting analysis and schedules, responding to ongoing diligence requests, and coordinating timelines, schedules and work streams;
  5. Develop presentations for client proposals and thought leadership materials;
  6. Contribute to the refinement of existing sells side readiness, merger integration and carve-out approaches, checklists and deliverables;
  7. Mentor and provide information training for TES team members; and,
  8. Work with Business Development team to cultivate client relationships and drive marketing efforts for potential new engagements.

Position supervises 3-4 employees including Director, Transaction Execution Services, Vice President, Transaction Execution Services, and Associate, Transaction Execution Services.

Minimum Requirements

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 5 years of post-graduate professional experience performing financial transaction strategy and execution for M&A for Private Equity clients. Domestic travel required up to 20% of time, once every 2-3 months, to client sites.

Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:

  • 5 years of experience leading client teams in planning and executing operational diligence, merger integration and carve-our initiatives;
  • 5 years of experience managing projects with multiple complex workstreams including development of functional integration and carve-out plans and execution activities;
  • 5 years of experience preparing financial statements, pro forma financial statements, and financial restatements typically in connection with acquisitions, carve-outs, restatements and proposed sale transactions;
  • 5 years of experience establishing and integrating financial and business processes;
  • 5 years of experience working closely with third parties constituents including board members, C-level executives, investment bankers, QoE providers and others to provide overall project and team management leadership;
  • 5 years of experience interacting with senior company executives and management, and delivering presentations to senior internal and client audiences, including company senior management and Boards.

Salary range: $248,581 to $260,000 per year.
