Jacob is a Director with more than a decade of experience across a variety of areas within the Financial Services industry including Private Equity Consulting, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Risk, and Wealth Management. He also serves as an SME for SaaS/Technology Office of the CFO type engagements.
While at Accordion, Jacob partnered with the Global Transformation Office and Finance leadership of a ~£1 billion European digital parking marketplace to develop a comprehensive long-range plan. Acting as a finance thought leader to each business unit, he challenged assumptions, refined forecasts, and embedded financial accountability into the planning process — ensuring business leaders took true ownership of their targets ahead of C-suite and board reviews
In addition, Jacob served as Interim Head of FP&A for a middle-market SaaS company in the healthcare sector, where he was responsible for stabilizing and elevating the finance function during a period of transition. Balancing daily operational oversight with strategic transformation, he partnered with accounting, tax, and functional leaders to unify workflows, improve decision-making speed, and rebuild financial discipline for long-term success.
Core focus included developing an integrated operating model, headcount and cost structure, cash forecasting while leading management and lender reporting and supporting the rollout of a new ERP platform.
Before joining Accordion, Jacob worked at Ligo Partners, a multi-family office consortium that co-invests in disruptive tech-focused deals sourced from top VC firms across major US tech hubs. He primarily focused on sourcing disruptive healthcare technology companies looking to close Seed to Series B funding rounds.
Prior to Ligo, he was an Investment Banking Associate at Berenberg Capital Markets for the Equity Capital Markets team. There, he participated in the execution of several transactions including IPOs, capital raises, secondary offerings, and at-the-market offerings to a variety of small to mid-cap North American and European clients. A notable transaction includes the completion of the pre-placement and rights offering for BioNTech.
Prior to Berenberg, he served as an Investment Banking Analyst at Eureka Capital Partners where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory, and divestiture transactions across the healthcare, consumer, business services, and industrial sectors.
Jacob began at Barclays Capital working in the Risk and Wealth Management divisions where he focused on new business initiatives and was a part of the successful wind down of Barclays Wealth after it was acquired by Stifel.
Jacob graduated with honors from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing Management. He previously held Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses (expired).
